Saving Your Farm Hours Using “AI”
AI or Artificial Intelligence has been all the craze for the past year or so, but have you had a chance to use it?
I will share how you can use OpenAI’s ChatGPT to help you generate marketing ideas, copy for your website and whatever your mind can imagine.
As a result, it saves you the headache of generating every single marketing idea for your farm.
This tool will change your farm’s future and give you back hours.
Using ChatGPT as a Marketing Assistant
1. Create a ChatGPT account
Go ahead and head over to ChatGPT to make an account.
2. Begin to Train the AI with Your Brand Story
If you haven’t created your brand story yet, start here.
Also, if you don’t know your ideal customer, start here.
Once you have some initial branding created, go ahead and copy this prompt into the ChatGPT, filling in the bold with your answers.
Prompt
“I run a [ type of farm ] in [ location ] selling to [ ideal customer ]. I want you to create a one-sentence marketing mission statement including these values [ value 1, value 2, value 3 ].“
Or if you have a mission statement - feel free to enter it directly to give the AI some initial feedback on who you are and what you do.
Here is what I entered as an example.
“I run a vegetable farm in Denver, Colorado, selling to busy families who want nutritious foods. I want you to create a one-sentence marketing mission statement including these values:
1. organically grown
2. pesticide-free
3. nutritiously dense & picked fresh. “
3. Continue to Interact with ChatGPT
Once it gives you some mission statements, feel free to choose one, or ask it to generate more with more specific criteria.
Now that it knows your farm’s mission statement, feel free to ask for more of these prompts.

Write me 3 sections for my website, including 1. About Us, 2. Farming Practices, and 3 Where You Can Find Us.
Generate 10 Instagram Reel ideas I can use to find more customers in the local [ Area ].

4. Edit the Generated Copy & Take Action
All these outputs will not be perfect, but they will help you overcome writer’s block and generate ideas, content, and iterations that you can apply to your farm’s brand.
